The plastic housing didn’t fit my range hood, but I solved this by taking the motor out of the new plastic housing and installed it into the old one. That got it up and working again. The motor seems somewhat unbalanced, it vibrates when it’s running. Disappointing for $600+ part. Also I’m really disappointed that the first one broke less than 5 years after we bought it. We have another range hood that has been going 10+ years with no problem, yet the Faber crapped out in less than half the time and the part is ridiculously expensive. Poor quality for top dollar, but it got the range hood working again so two stars. A solid ‘meh’
